About Suzan

Suzan has spent more than 15 year in technology. Her most recent role was COO for Travis CI, a scaling startup in the developer tools space. As a former COO, Suzan understands the challenges leaders and leadership teams face. Her work is a blend of experience as operators and a background in org development, social psychology, sociology, and leadership.

Her work includes experience in leader on-boarding, new leader training, organizational strategy, people operations, internal company communication and exec team facilitation.

She has an educational background in social psychology, sociology, organizational development and leadership. She’s been a trained, certified executive coach for over a decade.

Suzan completed her coach training and certification at the Co-Active Training Institute, one of the most rigorous programs in the industry. She received training in leadership and facilitation from the Co-Active Leadership program and in organization & relationship systems coaching from CRR Global.

Suzan hosts the LeadDev Bookmarked, a monthly book club for engineering leaders. She’s a regular contributor to Fast Company where she writes for the Work Life section. One of her articles was named one of the Top 10 leadership stories of the year.

Suzan is a keynote speaker who has been featured at events like RubyConf, LeadDev, Rocky Mountain Ruby, Kalamazoo X, Stretch Conferenc, enterJS and DeveloperWeek Global.
